What would happen in our city if 150 people from Water’s Edge (149 others and YOU) volunteered 24 hours?  Imagine how many lives would be changed if we all went out and did something? 

Be the Difference…Do Something!  Be the difference for others; be the difference for the Kingdom; be the difference for Christ….Do Something!  Jesus was clear when he said, For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others…(Matthew 20:28) The primary reason Jesus calls us to servanthood is not because other people need our service, it is because of what happens to us when we serve, when we take our eyes off ourselves for a short time in service to others, a transformation happens…Be the Difference…Do Something!

Water’s Edge is committed to serving our community and this is why all are being challenged.  The vision of Water’s Edge is to connect with the community; it is part of our DNA.  Water’s Edge is asking all adults, teens and kids to be a part of this challenge, to serve 24 hours each this year.  Look for ways to serve others: in the schools, neighborhood, food pantries, hospitals, out on the streets….where is up to you, but it has to be out beyond Water’s Edge Sunday mornings.  We need to go out….reach out….you can Be the Difference…Do Something! 

Once you have completed any portion of your volunteer hours….WE wants to know about it!  WE will be keeping a running tally.  So text us at 513-295-1208 (if you don’t text, email info@watersedgeumc.net) For example -  Text – Tom 2 hrs – where you served.  This is not to single any one person out, but to track the running totals.  Our hope is to blow this goal out of the water! (No pun intended)
