Let’s DO something…..

Water’s Edge is solely and completely driven by servants…and I am so thankful for our servants.  What does this mean?  If a volunteer servant doesn’t act or help, then the coffee doesn’t get made, music isn’t heard, a stage is not set, children will not be taught, teens will not discuss, meals will not be delivered, conversations will not happen, the church will have to close….We need YOU to DO something. 

Together we need to take a leap of faith saying, “I need to serve Jesus”.  At your fingertips is a simple resource guide to help you discover where it is God might be leading you to serve.  You will find descriptions of current ministries, things happening today, as well as ministries we are striving to one day offer.  Some of these servant opportunities require only an hour or two per month, while other opportunities get you plugged in each and every week. 

Jesus spoke these words in Matthew 20:28, “…the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others….”  We need to be asking ourselves, where am I serving?  I hope this will encourage you to DO something.  If you look across this list and see nothing of interest, nothing you want to do, then create it, organize it, live it. Where is your passion and what gifts/skills can you bring to make it happen? Who knows it might be the next ministry we need to add. 

I hope this servant catalog will be a helpful tool in which you discern where God is leading (calling) you….so the next step is yours…..Let’s DO something!
