Water’s Edge has one service that starts at 10:00 am on Sunday Mornings.

When did the church begin?

We opened our doors in early 2007 as an extension church of Faith Community UMC in West Chester, Ohio.

What should I wear?

Whatever is comfortable to you! We are not bogged down with rules. You will mostly see casual pants and jeans, even on Pastor Matt. But some people dress in business wear and others prefer a tie and dress clothes.

What about kids?

Kids have a blast at Waters Edge. All children infant – 5th grade can check in at the childrens registration table and leaders help them find their group. Infants to 2 years-old are in the nursery and 2-3 year olds are in the toddler area. Older children are grouped by age and placed in classes.

How do I become a member?

You don’t need to be a member to attend Water’s Edge. But for those that want to join, membership classes happen about three times a year based on demand.

Where do you meet?

Water’s Edge is located at 108 East Church Street in Mason, Ohio 45040.

What does the name Water’s Edge mean?

The name flowed out of Luke 5″1-4. (paraphrased) Jesus noticed two empty boats at the Water’s Edge and told his disciples to push away from the shore and go out to where it is deeper to catch many fish.

What does it mean to be United Methodist?

We believe the church belongs to God and that the church is, in the words of Apostle Paul, the body of Christ. The church is to be the physical presence of Christ in the world. As such, our primary aim is to guide people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

United Methodist hold to the historic doctrines of the Christian faith. Methodists have been known for our emphasis on a personal faith lived out in concrete ways in the world. We have historically valued well-informed and passionate preaching, worship that was lively, people committed to serving others and small groups where people could grow in faith.

Methodists have open hearts, and open minds–and welcome anyone interested in learning more about the Christian faith. To learn more about our history, core values, doctrines, mission and much more, please visit http://www.umc.org.
